  • Very reflective , so they can make lighting large spaces more energy efficient.

Our Process For Concrete Polishing

Step 1: Surface Preparation

  • The process begins with thorough surface preparation. This involves cleaning the concrete surface to remove dirt, debris, and any existing coatings or sealers. Any cracks, holes, or imperfections are also repaired during this stage.

Step 2: Coarse Grinding

  • Coarse grinding involves the use of heavy-duty grinding equipment with diamond-embedded abrasive pads. This rough grinding phase removes the top layer of the concrete, exposing the aggregate and flattening uneven areas.

Step 3: Fine Grinding

  • After the coarse grinding, a series of progressively finer diamond abrasive pads are used to refine the surface further. This step smoothens the concrete and prepares it for a high-gloss finish.

Step 4: Densification

  • To increase the concrete's hardness and durability, a densifier is applied. This chemical treatment penetrates the concrete, making it more resistant to stains and wear.

Step 5: Polishing

  • The polishing process involves using finer grit diamond pads to achieve the desired level of gloss. Multiple passes are made with increasingly finer pads to enhance the shine and clarity of the surface.

Step 6: Stain Guard and Seal

  • To protect the polished surface and enhance its stain resistance, a sealant or stain guard is applied. This step helps maintain the beauty of the polished floor and makes it easier to clean and maintain.

Step 7: Final Inspection

  • A thorough inspection is conducted to ensure that the polished concrete floor meets the desired level of gloss and quality. Any touch-ups or additional polishing may be performed as needed.

Step 8: Ongoing Maintenance

  • Polished concrete floors are known for their durability, but regular maintenance is essential to keep them looking their best. Routine cleaning and periodic resealing help preserve the shine and longevity of the polished surface.
